well it's been quite a day. Its been quite a week. Damn this 09 shit has been quite a deal too. Then in retrospect, quite a year it's been. Sitting here in a semi euphoric state of mind, in the dark, i think. Today was one of those days u probably will never forget. For me it was rather bittersweet. The video above the same. my favorite rapper on a song that speaks to our generation. blue lambos hey why not? I wanted to go out to D.C and actually absorb some of the historical ambiance, but was 1) under the weather. and 2) was in conjunction with some niggas who ain't have they plans in order.( In sucks not having a car in a small ass non metro accessible county) but any way. Even though i missed out on the 2 million +++screaming black folk from alllll over this great nation, i got some time to reflect on real shit. away from the "Obama" Chants and the eye gouging flag waving of black grandmas who thought this day will never come. Not in attendance but had a camera mans view pretty much the whole time. I see the people who look like they no nothing about Obama's speeches or great accomplishments in community work while in CHicago, they really are just ecstatic at the "concept" of a "black" president.Well i don't figure this just by looking at them. Iv'e talked to these black folks. I was one until i started to think... then there are those who are solemn, absorbed and inspired. They feel the "reality". . Obama is not on every black persons team just because we are all black. Im pretty sure some type of help will be given to those who help themselves. I don't expect any handout because we have a black president. If any thing im starting to realize i gotta grind harder to get mine. Black president sounds good though. So good i think thats what im gonna strive for. If i end up the first black of anything i think that will b that change i was looking for. i never really heard this bobby james smacked. i really fuck wit this! lls. but this song is crack. nas x kanyw once again. gotta love what this nigga kanye on, still producing and innovating...

SOO i'm riding the new york subway to meet my father at work, and couldn't help but over hear this guy talking on his cell phone. Well that was the exact problem. EVERYBODY within that car, ipod on or not, couldn't not hear this Loud ass dude .Loud people is one thing, but this fellow was loud and wrong. "SO YEA I HAD THIS BITCH PINNED AGAINST THE WALL SON. HA HA. YEA NIGGA!! SO I HAD IT FROM THE BACK RITE..HA HA YOU ALREADY KNOW KID!!! BEAT IT UP BEAT IT UP!!" I usually just SMH and chuckle at blatant niggerishness..but with the first black presidents inauguration around the corner, i feel as though black people should be carrying themselves with more of a sense of dignity and pride. I felt bad looking at the mother who looked like she wanted to shelter her daughters ears from the filth being spewed from that dumb ass dude's mouth. But it aint just new york metro. Loud niggas is everywhere.

Then we have the little black youth selling candy. He had his shit on point though. he left such an impression on me i had to place a reminder in my blackberry to blog him as i ate my twix. lls. So he goes from car to car on like every train line with the same script. " hello my name is .... and i am 12 years old. i am not selling this candy for skool or for a basketball team, i am selling this candy to keep me out of trouble and to put a little money in my pocket.." u gotta love his hustle at such a young age.

Last but not least we have the crazy lady that proceeded to accost everyone on the train. so she starts at the opposite end of the car and works her way towards me. everyone ignores her for the most part. she doesn't necessarily look poor but looks like she got a few coins from folks. so she gets to my end and looks at the girl next to me I mean really stared her down. she looks away and goes.. "Do you know the Muffin Man GoD Damnit!!!????" i couldn't really keep a strait face, but didn't laugh. so she looks at me and goes "wait a minute. u gregory's son? i looked at my phone and played brick breaker. WOW. craziest 30 minutes spent in a while. lls
